Delete Your Account

You can delete your Kouple account directly from within the app in just a few steps:

1. Open the Kouple app on your device.
2. Tap your profile icon or go to Settings.
3. Select Account.
4. Tap Delete Account at the bottom of the page.
5. Read the confirmation notice, then tap Confirm Delete.

Your account will be scheduled for permanent deletion immediately after confirmation.

If you no longer have access to your account or the Kouple app, you can request deletion by emailing us:

We will respond within 3 business days and process the deletion request within 30 days of verification.

You can also use our contact form - select Delete Account Request as the subject.

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed within 30 days:

• Your account profile (name, email address, profile photo)
• All shared memories, photos, and images you uploaded
• Love letters you sent or received
• Daily check-ins and mood data
• Location journey history and adventure pins
• Relationship milestones and anniversary data
• All in-app content you created

A limited subset of data may be retained after account deletion for the following reasons:

• Aggregated, anonymised analytics - statistical usage data with no personal identifiers, retained indefinitely for product improvement.
• Transaction records - purchase history and billing records required for legal and financial compliance, retained for up to 7 years in accordance with applicable law.
• Safety and abuse records - if your account was flagged or involved in a safety investigation, relevant records may be retained for up to 2 years to prevent misuse.
• Legal hold data - if we are subject to a legal obligation (e.g., court order) requiring us to preserve certain data, that data will be retained only for as long as required.

If you are paired with a partner in Kouple, deleting your account will unpair you both. Your partner will be notified and their account will remain active, but content that belongs exclusively to your account (e.g., your love letters, your photos) will be removed from their view as well.

Content your partner uploaded independently will not be affected.

Deleting your Kouple account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Before deleting your account, please cancel any active subscription through:

• iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Kouple → Cancel Subscription
• Android: Google Play Store → Subscriptions → Kouple → Cancel Subscription

Kouple cannot issue refunds for subscription periods not cancelled before account deletion.
